Rabbits - At what age must the kits be when cleaning out the hutch for the first time since giving birth?

I will check the day after for any after birth, blood, babies that didn't make it etc and just remove the heavily soiled areas without disturbing the nest or the kits. depending on the litter size and the nesting box size after about 2- 3 weeks i will remove everything but the clean fur and bedding and give the rest of the cage a thorough cleaning. just be respectful of the mom she may get a bit upset when you do this. so distract her with a treat like a slice of apple and do what you have to do quickly.
