My boyfriend has been married 3 times and reluctant about doing it again. will he ever want to marry me?

we live together now and he had mentioned about just being "married" but not with the legality of it. we would do the ring thing and all but no marriage decree. He said he has had 3 bad marriages all the lasted about 2 to 4 years each. his first wife didn't like the fact he was in navy. he came home she was gone... his second he drove a truck and came home and found her in bed with another man...his third used the excuse she had cancer and didnt want his kids to loose another mom so she divorced him, plus she was talking to another man on the internet. he argued with all of the pretty much. we get along great we like the same things our thoughts the way we raise our kids what we want out of life its all the same. we say what we think and we have the relationship that we speak whats on our mind. and ask hey how exactly did you mean this or what ever. were great together. he is all i have ever wanted and all i want to do is be his wife. am i stupid or what???
